Responsibilities

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will develop and implement plant technical strategies focused on engineering projects and systems, guide vertical startup processes that support low‑loss production systems, and provide solutions to technical challenges that enhance production performance. You will manage the plant capital plan in partnership with Corporate Engineering, lead the Early Management Pillar, and oversee utilities to support safety, quality, sanitation, cost, and service objectives.

This includes leading the implementation of the capital plan and ensuring alignment among Safety, Sanitation, Quality, Environmental, Operations, Maintenance, and Finance teams. You will drive the Early Management Pillar and support capability development within pillar and cell teams, oversee the utilities team and maintain the plant capital project list, partner with the Platform Engineering Director to secure resources such as Engineering Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and Start‑Up Managers, provide project and technical guidance to plant and division partners, partner with plant leadership to improve safety, quality, sanitation, labor relations, cost, and customer service through cross‑functional project teams, coordinate work direction for mechanical and clerical activities within the maintenance department, and lead the plant communication rhythm, including team meetings that promote performance, development, and alignment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Five years of experience in food manufacturing; three years of training experience preferred.
  • Experience managing multi‑million‑dollar capital projects.
  • Project management experience.
  • Leadership skills to influence, guide, and partner across functions.
  • Willingness to rotate shifts and work weekends and holidays as business needs require.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with computer applications.
Physical Requirements

More information about essential tasks and the facility will be shared during the hiring process. The role may require you to be in our manufacturing facilities. Visiting these sites may involve walking around the facility, climbing stairs or ladders, kneeling, performing repetitive tasks that require hand‑eye coordination, lifting or carrying materials that vary in weight and size. This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment.

Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation

Pay Range: $82,000–$120,000 (annual salary). The actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
