Position: Purchasing Specialist Copper Country Mental Health
Location: Houghton

Copper Country Community Mental Health is hiring a full-time Purchasing Specialist to join their

Financial Administration team in Houghton, Michigan
. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying organized, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, and being part of a mission-driven organization that truly serves its community.

As a four-county community mental health center, we rely on strong systems and thoughtful purchasing to support the people and programs we serve. In this role, you’ll play a key part in making sure our teams have the tools and resources they need—on time and on budget.

WHAT WE OFFER.
  • $33,936 – $49,951 annual starting salary based on experience.

  • Full-time Monday – Friday position generally working 8am – 5pm.
WHAT YOU WILL DO.
  • Manage the full purchasing and procurement process for the agency.
  • Develop bid proposals and work with vendors to secure supplies and services.
  • Purchase and track agency supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor fixed assets and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Oversee and organize a centralized supply inventory.
  • Collaborate with finance and administrative teams to support daily operations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
  • Associate degree in a business-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting practices and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • High attention to detail with solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle physical aspects of the role, including lifting, moving, and managing supplies.
  • A dependable, team-oriented mindset and willingness to pitch in where needed.
