Assistant Production Manager
Creative Surfaces Inc., a national leader in custom store fixtures, signage, and countertops for retail, automotive, and casino industries, is expanding its casework division in Sioux Falls, SD. We are seeking an Assistant Production Manager to join our growing Casework team and help deliver exceptional products to our local and nationwide customers.

As Assistant Production Manager, you will work closely with production, drafting, sales, and customers to understand timelines, follow up on open items, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. You will manage project schedules and costs to ensure budgets align with projections, applying strategic planning, process optimization, and team management to achieve company goals.
Key Responsibilities- Manage architectural millwork projects, including production, delivery, and installation activities.
- Serve as a point of contact for general contractors, architects, sales, and production teams.
- Manage project timelines and communicate updates to production and operations teams.
- Track open items, shop drawings, field measurements, change orders, and request dates.
- Perform site visits and perform measurements as required.
- Manage punch list, warranty requests, and communicate with customers, production, and operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical DemandsThe role may be physically demanding and includes:
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, walk upstairs, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with arms.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Capability to work in various physical positions, including sitting, standing, bending, crouching, and at heights.
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, IMOS, Buildertrend, and Procore software.
- Knowledgeable in AWI, OSHA, and LEED standards.
- Ability to effectively manage relationships with customers, subcontractors, architects, designers, and colleagues.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; multi‑tasking is essential.
- Prior project management experience required.
- Working knowledge of the construction and woodworking industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in Google Suites, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
