Overview:
A growing cannabis operator is seeking a highly organized and operationally driven Director of Administration to support daily business operations across a fast-paced cultivation and processing facility. This individual will serve as a key point of coordination across departments, helping ensure communication, accountability, and operational alignment throughout the organization. This is a high-visibility role working closely with leadership to support administrative operations, cross-functional execution, facility coordination, financial organization, and HR administration.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in an environment where priorities shift quickly and collaboration across teams is essential.
Operational Coordination
- Act as a central point of communication across departments including cultivation, processing, compliance, maintenance, sales, and fulfillment
- Identify operational gaps and help implement process improvements
- Support leadership with operational follow-through and day-to-day execution
- Maintain visibility into departmental performance and organizational priorities
- Oversee daily administrative operations and office coordination
- Maintain organized documentation, records, SOPs, and internal reporting systems
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, follow-ups, and internal communication
- Support leadership with organization, planning, and accountability initiatives
- Assist with vendor coordination, invoicing, expense tracking, and purchasing
- Help organize operational financial documentation and reporting
- Coordinate with third-party accounting and payroll partners as needed
- Manage ordering of facility consumables and source cost-effective solutions
- Assist with onboarding, employee records, and HR administration
- Support hiring coordination and internal employee communication
- Help maintain a professional, organized, and accountable workplace culture
- Support licensing and regulatory documentation processes
- Help ensure operational readiness across facility departments
- Coordinate vendor relationships, maintenance scheduling, and facility needs
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive operational and employee information
- 5+ years of experience in operations, administration, office management, logistics, or facility coordination
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, logistics, cannabis, agriculture, or other fast-paced operational environments preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams and leadership
- Familiarity with payroll, HR systems, invoicing, or financial coordination preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational software systems
- Self-starter with strong follow-through
