Position: Senior Director, US New Product Planning (ADPKD Lead)
Location: Luna Pier

General Summary

Senior Director, US New Product Planning to shape the pipeline and build the foundation for successful US launches within an expanding, highly visible Business Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Represent the US commercial perspective on global asset teams for early pipeline assets (~4 years from launch).
  • Lead development of US commercial strategy with global stakeholders (commercial, medical, market access, HEOR, analytics, operations, finance).
  • Translate asset strategy into a US launch blueprint (market priorities; launch scenarios/assumptions; capability requirements; org design implications; field/non-personal promotion; budget/investment needs).
  • Frame strategic choices: positioning; patient finding/market development; access/reimbursement readiness; evidence generation; customer engagement; patient services/support.
  • Create milestone- and scenario-based plans for launch readiness ahead of traditional pre-launch planning.
  • Partner cross-functionally to define capabilities, talent, processes, and infrastructure for launch success.
  • Shape BU growth strategy and commercialization models across specialty and institution-based markets.
  • Support governance with recommendations, tradeoffs, and risk assessments; ensure smooth transition into in-market execution.
Required Experience
  • Significant biotech/pharma commercial strategy, new product planning, marketing, or launch strategy experience.
  • Experience across both US commercial/business roles and global/enterprise asset/team roles.
  • Demonstrated new product/pre-launch/launch planning success.
  • Deep hematology and/or rare disease experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US complex specialty commercialization and access/site-of-care/reimbursement.
  • Ability to build/scale commercial infrastructure; develop resourcing plans, operating models, and capability roadmaps.
  • Influence senior stakeholders in a matrix environment; cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Experience
  • US commercial planning/brand leadership/business leadership; global asset team/commercial strategy experience.
  • Experience supporting assets from development through launch readiness.
  • Experience establishing/expanding a BU/franchise/therapeutic area organization.
