Assistant Teacher

Job Description Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children
• Support behavior management strategies and techniques
• Assist in the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum
• Provide individualized attention and support to children with special needs, including those with autism
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well‑being and development of each child

• Knowledge of behavior management techniques for young children
• Familiarity with curriculum development for children under the age of six
• Understanding of the unique needs of children with autism or other special needs
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young children
