Field Construction Laborer

We are currently seeking Field Construction Laborers for the upcoming busy summer season.

The Field Construction Laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor out on field projects and roadways by assisting the field crews and operating one or several types of maintenance equipment. This is a key position assisting alongside the team doing road and underground utility work. Position is primarily Monday-Friday, limited weekends and some overtime available. Job sites are located in the northern Michigan area so no overnight travel and you may drive directly to the job site assigned.

• Shoveling, leveling, brooming, and raking
• Running small power or hand tools
• Equipment cleanup as needed
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials
• Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty environments
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
• Must have a valid driver’s license
