Permit Coordinator

Responsibilities- Ensure that all construction operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
- Ensure all employees working on the project are working safely and productively.
- Provide on‑the‑job (OJT) training on construction practices and methods.
- Assign daily production to in‑house and subcontract laborers and crews.
- Requisition, assign, and track materials needed for daily operations.
- Perform audits of construction operations to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices.
- Resolve complaints with property owners in areas where our personnel are working.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned.
- Technical knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and techniques for the installation of coax and fiber‑optic networks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accurate records.
- Problem‑solving abilities with a proven track record of efficiently and effectively resolving issues.
- Safety awareness and thorough understanding of OSHA safety regulations and company procedures.
- Prior experience in telecommunications construction, project coordination, or a related field.
- Ability to conduct site surveys for new builds and network expansions, collecting detailed information on existing infrastructure, environmental factors, and potential obstacles.
- Proficiency in using GPS units, laser rangefinders, measuring wheels, GIS or drafting software, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Driver’s license and ability to work independently, managing a daily travel schedule to project sites across urban and rural areas.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Exposure to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold weather.
- Sitting, standing, and walking for long periods on variable terrain.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity required for computer and other small equipment use.
- Pay $18 – $21 per hour.
