Concrete Superintendent
TRC Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to join our client's growing team in Southeast Michigan. This is a direct hire opportunity for a motivated construction professional with extensive experience leading commercial concrete projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working in the field, managing crews, solving problems, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise field crews on commercial concrete construction projects.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily jobsite activities to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor project schedules and adjust manpower and resources to meet deadlines.
- Identify field issues and implement practical solutions to minimize delays and maintain production goals
- Train, mentor, and develop field personnel while promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of company equipment and tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite throughout the duration of each project.
- 7-10+ years of commercial concrete construction experience.
- Previous experience supervising crews on commercial concrete projects.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Concrete placement and finishing techniques
- Reinforcing steel
- Site preparation
- Layout and grading
- Concrete curing methods
- Equipment operation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Experience coordinating multiple crews, subcontractors, and project schedules.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and jobsite safety practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as project demands require.
