Concrete Laborer

Join our team as a Concrete Laborer, where you will play an essential role in foundation work at commercial job sites. You will assist in carrying materials, constructing and setting forms, and following foreman directions to ensure precise placement. This is a physically demanding role that requires lifting up to 100 lbs and using tools like hammers and tape measures.

Responsibilities
  • Report to the commercial job site each morning.
  • Carry concrete materials, tools, and equipment from the truck to the site.
  • Construct and set wooden and metal forms for footings and foundation walls according to blueprints.
  • Follow directions from the foreman on form placement.
  • Lift up to 100 lbs frequently.
  • Use tools such as hammers and tape measures to assemble and align forms.
  • Assist with concrete pours and basic finishing using trowels.
  • Perform general site cleanup.
Essential Skills
  • Concrete finish or foundation experience.
  • Possession of wet boots, hard hat, and basic tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.

Work Environment

You will be working on a new build project in Whitehall for a few months. The work is outdoors in a dirty and dusty environment typical of construction sites, where you will collaborate with other trades. Expect to work alongside machinery and tools from Monday to Friday, starting between 5 AM and 7 AM, with some Saturdays required. The day typically ends around 4 PM to 5 PM, depending on workload and weather.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Whitehall, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
