Position Overview

Join us in the summer of 2026 and help us continue the legacy of fostering creativity, nurturing talent, and celebrating the individual artistic journey  are seeking creative and dedicated Piano Teaching Assistants who embody our core values and are ready to assist students in all programs and divisions, as well as faculty. You'll play a major role in facilitating division meetings, auditions, assisting with classes and supervising practice session schedules, as well as having the opportunity to perform on campus.

What

You Get To Do
  • Work closely with the Area Coordinator and the Camp Music Director to facilitate accurate scheduling and coverage of practice sessions for Junior and Intermediate students.
  • Provide appropriate guidance, mentorship and support to students concerning practice habits and daily assignments.
  • Participate in rehearsals, coaching and performances of all piano divisions as directed.
  • Plan for and carry out coverage of Monday morning piano classes.
  • Assist piano faculty with auditions, lessons, keyboard musicianship and sigh treading classes, as directed.
  • Serve as a liaison between students and Area Coordinator.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Area Coordinator or Camp Music Director.

What You Need
  • Availability from 6/27/2026 - 8/10/2026
  • Prepared to live in a residence hall with a roommate. While we offer accessible housing accommodations, please note that due to the rustic nature of our camp, these options are limited
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to new situations, quickly troubleshoot, and work well with others
  • Ability to work independently
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Music by time of employment
  • Experience in Piano (applied and/or group piano) teaching

  • Outdoor Work Environment: Many of your duties will involve working outdoors, often for extended periods, so being comfortable in various weather conditions is important.
