Festival Event Staff Intern

We are looking for eager, highly motivated, and friendly individuals aspiring to work in the sports and entertainment industry.

You will be working as a festival event staff intern in Hastings, MI at Rock the Country Music Festival on August 7th-9th. As an Event Intern at Fan Gate Solutions for Rock the Country you will have the opportunity to gain experience in ticket sales, ticket operations, event management and guest services. Job positions for this internship include the following:

• Box Office Ticket Sales
• Golf Cart Shuttle Drivers
• Parking Attendant
• Guest Services Tent
• Camping Check-In
• Gate Attendant

Depending on your role you may be assisting with Will Call tickets, selling tickets, ticketing resolution, selling parking passes, scanning tickets, parking or camping tickets, distributing festival credentials, helping with shuttle transportation, and providing attendees with festival information. Once your shift is complete, you are allowed general admission into the music festival. Rock the Country - Michigan will take place at Barry Expo Center and feature performances by Kid Rock, Treaty Oak Revival, Brantley Gilbert, Jason Aldean and more!

Responsibilities include:

• Aid guests with accurate festival information
• Provide problem solving techniques to assist all customer inquiries and concerns
• Accurately scan and validate all parking passes and festival tickets
• Distribute appropriate wristband and parking credentials
• Fulfill Will Call ticket orders accurately and efficiently
• Sell Walk Up Festival tickets and parking passes to attendees
• Represent Fan Gate Solutions and its clients in a professional and ethical manner
• Punctual and self-motivated with an attention to detail
• Communicate all pertinent information with clients and guests
• Provide & maintain the highest level of customer service to clients and guests
• Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned by managers

Qualifications and requirements include:

• Willing to travel to local and/or out of state venues
• Ability to work untraditional hours including weekends, evenings and some holidays
• College student majoring in hospitality, marketing, sport management, communications or related fields is a plus
• Eager to start & build a career in sports and live entertainment
• Ability to deliver exceptional service by anticipating the guests' needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
• Strong interpersonal skills that complement a team-oriented work ethic
• Ticket sales experience is a plus
• Must be neat and presentable at all times
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be 18 years of age or older with at least a high school diploma or GED

Pay is $14/hr friday, August 7th- 8am - 12am* (Shift 1: 8am - 4pm; Shift 2: 4pm - 12am) Saturday, August 8th - 10am - 10pm
