Order Processing Specialist
Location: St. Joseph County, MI
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Pay: $41, annually
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Order Processing Specialist to support the accurate and timely processing of customer orders. This role is responsible for ensuring orders are entered correctly, customer information is maintained accurately, and internal teams have the information needed to provide a seamless customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have strong data entry and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnter customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring orders are processed the same day they are received.
Review and verify completed orders for accuracy and completeness.
Validate product details, quantities, pricing, shipping information, and customer data.
Review completed orders within the Orders for Review queue.
Set up and maintain customer cross-reference files to ensure accurate product and data linking.
Create and maintain customer ship-to information and routing specifications.
Maintain accurate customer and order information within internal systems.
Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing information.
Follow established company terms, conditions, and procedures throughout the order cycle.
Identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency within order-processing workflows.
Assist other departments with clerical and administrative responsibilities as needed.
Maintain positive and professional working relationships with customers, agencies, and coworkers.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous data entry, order processing, customer service, or account management experience preferred.
Strong data entry skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable utilizing phone and web-based technologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Experience working with CRM and/or ERP systems is a plus.
Salesforce and Epicor experience is a plus, but not required.
