Overview
The Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) seeks a Dental Hygienist to provide dental prophylaxis including calculus removal and related oral hygiene to prisoners at an assigned correctional facility and other dental clinics as assigned. The position is located 100% within the secure perimeter of a correctional facility and includes chair-side assisting of dentists and operation of the dental clinic as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide dental prophylaxis including calculus removal and related oral hygiene instruction to prisoners.
- Assist in the operation of the dental clinic and provide chair-side assistance to dentists.
- Support other dental clinic activities as assigned.
- Possession of an associate s degree in dental hygiene.
- Two years of experience as a dental hygienist.
- Licensure as a registered dental hygienist by the Michigan Board of Dentistry.
