Dental Hygienist; FTE

Job Responsibilities

• Provide dental prophylaxis, including calculus removal and related oral hygiene, to prisoners at the assigned Correctional Facility.
• Assist in the operation of the dental clinic, providing chairside assistance to dentists.
• Perform duties at dental clinics in other facilities as assigned.
• Maintain direct contact with prisoners for more than 50% of work time while operating 100% within the secure perimeter of a Correctional Facility.

Possession of an associate's degree in dental hygiene.

Two years of experience as a dental hygienist.

Licensed by the Board of Dentistry as a registered dental hygienist.

Applicants must be free of pending felony convictions in accordance with Public Act 191 of 2017. Individuals with misdemeanor or felony convictions are ineligible for employment until the satisfactory completion of any sentence imposed, including parole or probation.
