Drafting Design - Casework Division

Creative Surfaces, Inc. is looking for a detail oriented CAD Drafter in our Casework Division. This role will be responsible for drawing and managing projects from concept and development through the manufacturing process. The position offers a competitive salary, paid time off, insurance and 401(k).

• A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Architectural Engineering or a two‑year post‑high‑school diploma/certificate in Architectural Engineering/Design or related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to interpret architectural prints, sketches, notes, etc. and turn them into workable shop drawings for the production shop to fabricate from.
• Must be able to communicate directly with architects, interior designers or customers to provide an exceptional product that meets and/or exceeds expectations, and communicate on‑site conditions with jobsite superintendents and project managers to ensure smooth installation.
• Attention to detail needed to take a concept to a successful final project quickly and accurately.
• Experience preparing shop drawing documentation.
• Self‑motivated to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team.
• Organizational and time‑management ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to predict task‑time requirements and meet deadlines, and visualize product and conditions to foresee potential issues.
• Perform all other duties assigned.

• Construction process experience, whether hands‑on or in communication.
• AutoCAD experience.
• IMOS software experience preferred.
• Experience in the casework/counter top industry.
