About the Opportunity:
Provide call coverage and in-office consultations for a well-established orthopaedic practice at a Level III Trauma Facility. Ideal for a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with a strong foundation in total joint replacements and a broad range of general orthopaedic skills.

Ongoing Responsibilities:
Respond to call requests and provide timely surgical intervention for orthopaedic emergencies within the Emergency Department. Conduct patient consultations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans for in-office patients. Perform a variety of orthopaedic procedures, with a focus on total joint replacements. Collaborate effectively with nurses, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain a high standard of patient care and communication.

Qualifications:

Active medical license in the state of Michigan (only). Board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required. Experience working in a hospital setting with orthopaedics is preferred. Excellent clinical skills, a strong knowledge base in orthopaedic surgery, and a particular expertise in total joint replacements. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Schedule:

Initial coverage includes two specific upcoming call periods:
Monday, July 1st, 2024 at 7:00 AM EST - Thursday, July 4th, 2024 at 7:00 AM EST Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 at 7:00 AM EST - Friday, July 12th, 2024 at 7:00 AM EST Following this initial period, the role transitions to ongoing call coverage. Call Coverage:
You will be required to respond to call requests from the Emergency Department on a rotating basis. Typically, only consultations are required, and complex cases are transferred to other facilities. In-Office Care:
You will provide full-time in-office consultations for a variety of orthopaedic cases, excluding spine. Surgical Focus:
Expertise and experience in total joint replacements are highly desirable. Support Staff:
