Location:

Battle Creek, MI – Bronson Battle Creek

• Perform clinic visits, endoscopy procedures, and colorectal surgeries, rotating across clinic, endoscopy lab, and operating room.
• Participate in a CRS call rotation (1:4) with no general surgery call obligations.
• Engage in clinical and basic science research, resident teaching, and academic affiliation via Western Michigan University School of Medicine.
• Provide patient education on wellness, prevention, and early detection of colorectal disease.
• Interpret diagnostic studies, order additional testing, and document all services in the patient medical record.
• Consult with medical leadership and collaborate with other professionals regarding patient care and quality improvement initiatives.
• Oversee mid‑level medical and nursing clinical staff as assigned.

• Medical degree (MD/DO) with 2+ years of direct or internship experience.
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in colon and rectal surgery; fellowship training in colorectal surgery required.
• Active Michigan medical license and current DEA/DPS certificate of registration.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacological agents and professional medical principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proper telephone etiquette.
• Capability to maintain all requirements for medical staff privileges.
• Proficiency in managing high‑volume and repetitive work requiring sustained attention and focus.
