Position Overview
A hospital in Northern Michigan seeks an inpatient Cardiologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage. The role involves providing inpatient cardiovascular disease management with day shifts and 24-hour call coverage, typically once every three days.
Responsibilities Include- Inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic visits
- Reading imaging and testing
- Performing procedures such as diagnostic catheterization, TEE, cardioversions, and loop implant/explant (procedures optional)
- Managing adult patients in a hospital setting
- Board Certification in Cardiovascular Diseases is negotiable
- Ability to work independently with support from one APP
- Flexible case load and diagnostic work based on preference
The assignment supports day shifts and 24-hour call coverage, with approximately 10 days of call per month, structured for about 2 weeks per month. The facility is well-equipped for cardiovascular care, and the location offers diverse recreational and cultural opportunities.
