Job Overview
Department: Medicine, Corewell Health – Southeast Michigan.
Position: Full‑time Hematology Oncology Physician.
The practice currently includes one physician and an advanced practice provider. Physicians evaluate patients at lung, breast, GI, and hematology tumor boards, may enroll patients in clinical trials, and provide hospitalist coverage for admissions and overnight emergencies. Teaching duties with residents and medical students are also available.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and manage patients in medical oncology and hematology.
- Participate in multi‑disciplinary tumor boards (lung, breast, GI, hematology).
- Enroll patients in relevant clinical trials.
- Provide inpatient admissions coverage and overnight emergency care.
- Engage in teaching activities with residents and medical students.
- Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, primary care physicians, and surgeons.
- Assist with weekend call rotations.
- Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Hematology Oncology.
- Fellowship completion in Hematology Oncology.
- Unrestricted medical license in Michigan (MD/DO).
- Preferred: 1–3 years of experience; new graduates are welcome.
