The Learning Experience – Clarkston is hiring a Supportive and Reliable Assistant Teacher to work across Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms
. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, flexibility, and working with children at different developmental stages.
Our center offers a positive, team-oriented environment where teachers are supported, trained, and encouraged to grow in the early childhood education field.
What You’ll Do- Support Lead Teachers in creating safe, nurturing, and engaging classrooms for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Assist with daily routines such as meals, diapering/toileting, transitions, nap time, and play activities
. - Engage children in play-based learning
, sensory activities, music, and early language development. - Help maintain clean, organized classrooms that meet Michigan childcare licensing standards
. - Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Step into different classrooms as needed to support staffing and daily operations.
- High school diploma or GED required
. - Previous experience in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting preferred
. - CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus, but not required.
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented.
