• High School Diploma or equivalent; training or experience in child development or early childhood education preferred but not required.
• Possess high energy and enthusiasm.
• Ability to work with adults and children.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• A basic understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Take initiative in understanding and working with a variety of children with varied abilities.
• Flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills.
• All necessary forms must be in your office file before you begin (TB test results, Criminal background check, DHS clearance, LARA eligibility, Consent & Disclosure form, Screening Statement, Handbook Acknowledgement, all required training by licensing).

• Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
• Perform all job duties with energy and enthusiasm.
• Take children outside daily throughout all seasons.
• Assist with the implementation of curriculum and daily activities with children. Be prepared to take on a leadership role in the classroom if necessary.
• Interact with children, staff members, and parents in a positive way with dignity and respect.
• Maintain order in the classroom.
• Maintain positive adult/child interaction at all times to help children learn and grow.
• Ensure the room is neat and clean with the 3-step process required by licensing.
• Complete work assigned by the Lead Teacher and Director.
• Be flexible with assignments and a team player.

• This position follows the Davison Community Schools calendar.
• There is an opportunity to work in the Preschool Summer Camp Program.
• Staff receive discounts for preschool and latchkey for their own children.

$13.87-$14.92, based on experience
