Job Description: Out-of-School Time (OST) Site Coordinator
Reports to: Building Principal
Hourly rate: $40 an hour
Schedule: 3 days a week for 2 hours (3:45 pm-5:45 pm), plus 1 hour of planning a week

Position Overview

The OST Site Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, supervision, and reporting of the Section 32n-funded Out-of-School Time (OST) after-school program at Mattawan Later Elementary. This position ensures the program provides a safe, engaging, and enriching environment that supports student learning, social-emotional growth, and family engagement. The Site Coordinator serves as the on-site leader connecting the school, families and staff.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education
  • Experience working with youth in an educational or enrichment setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with technology and data systems (e.g., EZReports, Google Workspace).
Preferred
  • Experience in before/after-school or summer learning programs.
  • Understanding of Michigan Out-of-School Time (MOST) Standards of Quality.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Prior grant-funded or educational program coordination experience.
Key Responsibilities Program Management & Implementation
  • Coordinate daily before-school, after-school, and/or summer programming in alignment with the approved grant plan.
  • Ensure programming incorporates both core academic subjects (literacy, math, science) and enrichment activities (STEM, arts, leadership, wellness, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain a consistent program schedule, ensuring a minimum of required program days and student attendance levels (per MiLEAP grant standards).
  • Supervise daily program activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
  • Communicate regularly with school staff to align OST activities with student learning needs.
Data & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate daily attendance and enrollment records in EZReports, ensuring data is entered by required deadlines (14th & 28th of each month).
  • Collect and submit required forms, surveys, and student/family data to the ISD Grant Administrator on time.
  • Monitor student participation and develop strategies to promote consistent attendance.
  • Assist with evaluation efforts, including student and parent feedback surveys and outcome data collection.
Family & Community Engagement
  • Communicate program information and schedules to parents/guardians.
  • Coordinate family engagement activities aligned with program goals.
  • Build partnerships with community organizations, vendors, and volunteers to enhance programming.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure the program operates in compliance with all MiLEAP OST Grant, district, and licensing/exemption requirements.
  • Implement and monitor health, safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate staff-to-student ratios and supervision at all times.
Performance Expectations
  • Maintain accurate and timely data reporting to meet MiLEAP deadlines.
  • Support measurable outcomes related to student attendance, academic growth, and positive behavior.
  • Demonstrate commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed youth development.
  • Collaborate effectively with the ISD, district, and MiLEAP-OST regional support staff.
