Title: Elementary Campus Media Center Clerk
Job Location: Early & Later Elementary Campus
Reports to: Early and Later Elementary Principals
Job Type: Hourly / Non-Exempt
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite and general internet navigation
- Strong technology skills
- Familiarity with media equipment (e.g. projectors, printers, document cameras)
- Strong organizational and clerical skills
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Positive rapport with elementary-aged children and the ability to manage behavior with kindness and consistency
- Reliable, self-directed and able to manage responsibilities across two position locations
Job Description:
- Manage daily operations of two elementary media centers, rotating between buildings as scheduled
- Circulate books and instructional materials using library software
- Work with building administration and central office to develop, implement, and uphold a Collection Development Policy and a Reconsideration Policy for library materials
- Assist students in locating and selecting age-appropriate and level-appropriate books
- Catalog, process, shelve, and maintain library materials
- Create and maintain student library accounts and passwords
- Oversee overdue/lost book notices and maintain circulation records
- Maintain and track inventory of media equipment and toner supplies
- Support parent volunteers and book fairs
- Perform yearly inventory and report data to the building principals
- Other duties as assigned by building administrators
Salary/Benefits: Starting at $14.33/hour (subject to increase with budget changes in 25-26)/ placed on scale commensurate with experience
