  • Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate scheduling of IEP, MET and Manifestation Determination meetings including parent notification and invitations for students assigned to the caseload.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records (B‑worksheets, attendance, discipline, special education).
  • Provide input to the Building Principal on the impact of each student’s disability on discipline.
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date binder of students’ most recent IEPs and discipline action forms for administrative review.
  • Provide parents with regular updates on IEP goal progress as often as general education report cards are issued.
  • Plan, prepare and organize IEP documents, including appropriate goals and objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate and chair the IEP process for students on the caseload.
  • Oversee planning, deliver and implement instructional services for all students assigned to the caseload.
  • Provide direct instruction to students as determined through their IEPs.
  • Support general education staff with accommodations and supplemental needs of special education students.
  • Provide supplemental instruction to support the general education curriculum for students on the caseload.
  • Maintain a current schedule documenting daily service of students, including frequency and duration.
