Requirements

• Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate and Special Education Endorsement.
• At least three years of successful teaching experience preferred.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate.

• Shall be able to instruct students in a Special Education setting individually and in group settings.
• Shall have the leadership ability and skill necessary to organize, implement, maintain, and evaluate a comprehensive Special Education program.
• Shall have the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, counselors and parents.
• Shall have the knowledge of theories of learning appropriate for Special Education.
