Job Title: GSRP Associate Teacher
Reports to: GSRP Supervisor
Collaborative and community-focused, Delton Kellogg is committed to enriching the experience of staff by encouraging the sharing of knowledge and skills through teamwork, mentorship, and professional development.
The GSRP Associate Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging preschool learning environment for young children. This position works collaboratively with classroom staff to support students' academic, social, emotional, and developmental growth while ensuring compliance with GSRP guidelines and early childhood best practices.
Duties
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate lessons and classroom activities
- Support students in social, emotional, academic, and behavioral development
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, recess, and transitions
- Assist with student observations, assessments, and documentation as directed
- Collaborate with classroom staff and families to support student success
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all GSRP and licensing guidelines
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
- Degree:
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred - License: CDA credential, associate credential, or ability to meet GSRP associate teacher requirements preferred
- A positive, flexible, and friendly attitude
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Knowledge of early childhood development and classroom practices
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
