School Psychologist - Lowell, MI

Location: Lowell

Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting students' academic and emotional growth as a School Psychologist for the  school year. Working onsite at a building location (to be determined) near Lowell, MI, you will provide vital psychological services and conduct comprehensive special education evaluations. This is a 21-hour per week position focused on students from preschool to 4th grade, with the possibility to tailor your role around grades 1-4 if needed.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in School Psychology (or an equivalent field)
• Current Michigan Department of Education approval as a School Psychologist
• Knowledge of special education rules, evaluation protocols, and best practices
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Experience supporting elementary-aged students is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and interpret psycho educational assessments to identify student strengths and needs
• Deliver psychological services and participate in the special education evaluation process
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists to build effective support plans
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all special education timelines and state requirements
• Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and team discussions to advance student success
