Position Overview:

The Hastings Area School System is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 4th-grade teacher for

the  school year. The ideal candidate is passionate about upper elementary

education, demonstrates a commitment to student growth, and fosters an inclusive and

engaging classroom environment that supports all learners.

Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and implement standards-based instruction in all core subjects for 4th-grade

students

• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and

backgrounds

• Use assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress

• Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and

collaboration

• Collaborate with grade-level team members, specialists, and support staff

• Communicate regularly and effectively with families about student progress and

classroom activities

• Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and curriculum planning

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an Elementary Education endorsement

• Knowledge of current best practices in literacy and math instruction

• Experience with differentiated instruction and supporting students through MTSS

preferred

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive school culture
