Summary

Reed City High School is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to serve as Student Council Advisors. This position involves guiding and mentoring student leaders as they plan and execute school-wide activities, foster school spirit, and promote a positive school culture. Advisors will work collaboratively with students, faculty, and administration to support the development of leadership skills and encourage student engagement in the school community.

Responsibilities
  • Mentor and guide Student Council members in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist students in planning and organizing school events, activities, and community service projects.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with Student Council members to discuss initiatives, progress, and challenges.
  • Collaborate with school administration to align Student Council activities with school goals and policies.
  • Help students develop leadership skills through workshops, training, and hands-on experiences.
  • Act as a liaison between the Student Council and the broader school community, including parents and faculty.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in school spirit activities and events.
  • Support students in promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school environment.
  • Maintain communication with students, parents, and school staff regarding Student Council activities and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students and faculty.
  • Passion for student leadership and a commitment to fostering a positive school environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students and staff.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Availability to attend meetings, events, and activities outside of regular school hours.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role, either as an advisor or participant, is a plus.
