Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Clara Bolen Elementary as a full-time Elementary Teacher. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student growth and development. This position requires a passion for teaching, a commitment to student success, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the community.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and a love for learning.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student performance and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
- Manage classroom behavior and implement effective discipline strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Provide individualized support to students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Organize and participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for the state in which Clara Bolen Elementary is located.
- Strong knowledge of child development and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community.
- Proficient in using educational technology and tools to enhance learning.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for all students.
- Previous teaching experience in an elementary setting is preferred but not required.
