Position Description

Reimagine Education, LLC is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the position of Secondary School Assistant Principal. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership, effective management, and fostering a positive learning environment within the secondary virtual school setting. This position plays a crucial role in shaping the educational experience for both students and faculty, ensuring a high standard of academic excellence, and promoting a positive school culture.

Qualifications
  • Masters program to be completed within three years of hire
  • Educational Background
  • - A Master's degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field.
  • - A valid Michigan School Administrator Certificate or eligible for a permit
  • - Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
  • Leadership Skills
  • - Proven experience in educational leadership with a track record of successful school administration.
  • - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.
  • - Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of educators and support staff.
  • Educational Vision
  • - A clear and compelling vision for educational excellence and the ability to translate that vision into actionable plans.
  • - Familiarity with innovative teaching methodologies, technology integration, and a commitment to preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century.
  • Communication Skills
  • - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • - Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including parents, community members, and district administrators.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making
  • - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • - Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Regulatory Knowledge
  • - Thorough understanding of Michigan state educational policies, regulations, and standards.
  • - Knowledge of federal laws and regulations related to education, including special education requirements.
Essential Duties
  • Strategic Planning and Vision:
  • - Help develop, support, and implement a clear vision for the secondary school in alignment with district goals.
  • - Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans that enhance educational outcomes.
  • Curriculum Development and Implementation:
  • - Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive and challenging curriculum.
  • - Ensure alignment with state standards and the needs of the student population.
  • Staff Development and Evaluation:
  • - Help recruit, hire, and retain highly qualified educators and support staff.
  • - Help provide leadership in professional development initiatives and conduct regular evaluations to support continuous improvement.
  • School Culture and Climate:
  • - Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and promotes a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • - Support with disciplinary issues promptly and fairly, promoting a positive school climate.
  • Parent and Community Engagement:
