Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at Holbrook Elementary. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and academic development. This full-time position requires a commitment to providing a high-quality educational experience that inspires curiosity and a love for learning in our youngest students.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of kindergarten students.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive social interactions and emotional growth.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents regarding their development and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and parents to support each child’s learning journey and address any challenges they may face.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources, including hands‑on activities, technology, and creative arts, to enhance student engagement and understanding.
  • Establish and maintain effective classroom‑management strategies that promote respect, responsibility, and cooperation among students.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
  • Organize and participate in school events, parent‑teacher conferences, and community outreach initiatives to foster a strong school community.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other necessary documentation as required by school policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification or license for early childhood education.
  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a classroom setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that meets the needs of all students.
  • Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.
