We are seeking a part‑time adjunct instructor for the Health Sciences Education department located at the South Haven, Michigan campus. The University does not hold immediate openings, but applicants who meet the qualifications may be considered for future teaching assignments.

Working hours: Monday through Thursday in the summer season
Hiring Range: 61 Per Contact Hour

Job Summary

Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and assessment methods that uphold curriculum standards and support student success.

Essential Functions

Teach assigned courses within your area of expertise.

Uphold academic and clinical practice standards.

Develop and maintain effective course materials.

Provide timely evaluation and feedback on student performance.

Maintain availability for student support.

Monitor and report student progress and concerns.

Maintain complete and accurate student records.

Refer students to college resources for additional support.

Participate in regular faculty performance evaluations.

Support program assessment and accreditation processes.

Attend departmental meetings and participate in program activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum 2–4 years of professional practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant license.
Demonstrated clinical experience in physical therapy, with a preference for neurological rehabilitation expertise.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to student success.
Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
