With this full-time role, you'll have the chance to work onsite and collaborate with dedicated educators while serving a diverse caseload across three dynamic buildings. Your knowledge and skills as a School Social Worker will be the foundation for providing assessment, intervention, and ongoing support to students in grades K-5, including a nonpublic school population. Expect a supportive atmosphere where your expertise is valued and your contributions directly influence student success.

Qualifications:
  • Current approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker is required
  • Demonstrated experience working with elementary and middle school-aged children
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to tailor interventions to meet varied social, emotional, and academic needs
  • Comfort working onsite in a school setting across multiple buildings
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver school social work services to a caseload of 43-48 students in grades K-5 and a nonpublic school
  • Conduct assessments and provide individual/group interventions to support social, academic, and behavioral goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to facilitate student success
  • Assist in developing and implementing plans for student development and crisis intervention
  • Maintain thorough, compliant documentation and contribute to IEP/504 planning
