Qualifications & Desired

Experience:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification for the state of Michigan
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
• Prior experience teaching 3rd through 6th grade preferred
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to a small, center-based caseload (approximately 10 students)
• Develop, implement, and monitor students' IEPs and behavior plans
• Collect progress data and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families and supporting staff regarding student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional growth activities
