Social Worker | Manchester, Michigan

Step into a rewarding full-time position as a School Social Worker, supporting K-12 students and educators with your expertise and compassion. As a contracted professional, you'll be integral to fostering a positive learning environment, helping students overcome barriers, and facilitating collaboration among families, teachers, and community resources. This role offers a consistent schedule Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week for the duration of the school contract.

• Valid licensure or certification as a School Social Worker (MSW or equivalent preferred)
• Experience working within school settings, preferably with K-12 students
• Strong ability to assess, counsel, and support students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
• Excellent communication, advocacy, and relationship-building skills
• Familiarity with special education processes and protocols is a plus

• Provide individual and group counseling to students across K-12 grades
• Assess student needs and develop intervention strategies to support well-being and academic success
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement plans that promote student engagement
• Support students through crisis intervention, referrals to community agencies, and linking families to resources
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
