You are invited to apply for the position of Secondary Math Teacher at Laker Schools in Huron County, Michigan. Laker Schools serves more than 1,000 PreK–12 students and provides a comprehensive educational experience that emphasizes student engagement, strong academics, and a wide range of extracurricular and athletic opportunities. Our math department is a collaborative team focused on high-quality instruction. As a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase District, relationships and high expectations guide our work.
The district has completed major facility upgrades and recently passed a $12.7 million bond to continue improving learning environments and expanding innovative spaces that support real-world learning experiences. - Valid Michigan teaching certification with secondary mathematics endorsement.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, families, and the community.
- Dynamic instructional approach that engages students and fosters excitement for learning.
- Ability to make mathematics meaningful through real-world applications.
- Proficiency in Michigan Mathematics Standards and effective use of assessment.
- Effective use of instructional technology to enhance student engagement.

POSITION:
Secondary Math Teacher
START DATE:
2026-27 School Year
Per LEA Master Agreement, with consideration for education and experience. Includes fully-funded health, dental, and vision insurance or cash-in-lieu option.
