Position is seasonal; depending on applicant status position may be hired through a third party vendor

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or related field preferred
• Prior basketball playing and/or coaching experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of fundamental basketball skills, rules, and game strategies
• Ability to work effectively with middle school–aged students
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Completion of coaching certification programs (e.g., NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching) preferred or required
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification through organizations such as the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Completion of concussion awareness and sports safety training as required by state or district guidelines
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting
• Availability for after‑school practices, games, and occasional weekend events
