Job DescriptionSpecial Education Program Assistant
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (32.5 hours/week)
The Special Education Paraprofessionals provide support to the instructional program with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care, and instruction of students with special needs; assisting in implementing plans for instruction; monitoring student behavior; providing information to appropriate school personnel.
Qualifications- High School Graduate
- Current CPR Certification or willing to obtain CPR certificate
- Current CPI training or willing to obtain CPI training
- Evidence of skills with behavior management
- Demonstrates dependability and promptness
- Understanding, patient, warm and receptive attitude toward children
- Ability to assume responsibility for supervising students
- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, parents and the general public with the understanding that confidentiality should be exhibited
- Ability to work outside during all seasons
Reports to: Building Principal
Start Date: 2026‑27 School Year
Position Type: Full‑Time
Salary: $17.22 to $21.31 Per Hour
