MATHEMATICS – Faculty‑Mathematics Job Classification

Faculty Full‑Time (75-100%)

Position summary

Tenure‑track faculty position in mathematics with teaching, scholarship, and service responsibilities beginning in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. The faculty in the Department of Mathematics & Physics place high value on collegiality and teamwork as they work for the best interests of the students. Duties and responsibilities
  • Carry regular faculty responsibilities related to teaching, scholarship, and service.
  • Teach a broad range of undergraduate mathematics courses, including general education courses and upper‑level courses for math majors.
  • Mentor students, supporting them academically and spiritually.
  • Advise math majors.
  • Maintain an active research agenda and engage undergraduate students in research.
  • Contribute to the university dialogue in faculty meetings and on committees.
  • Supervise graders and/or teaching assistants for courses.

Must be competent in interacting with students in an advisory role.

Ability to work collegially and professionally with students, staff, faculty, and administrators from a rich diversity of international, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
