West Shore Community College is seeking qualified instructors to assist with EMS and/or Fire Science instruction. This position includes teaching in didactic and lab settings for EMS courses and/or providing online instruction for our Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences in Fire Science.
Job Duties- Provide instruction in EMS and/or Fire Science courses in classroom, lab, and/or online settings.
- Support student learning through skill demonstrations, scenario-based training, and mentorship.
- Ensure adherence to WSCC's curriculum standards and accreditation requirements.
- Utilize interactive and student-centered teaching methods to enhance learning.
- Provide constructive feedback and assessment of student performance.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and skill evaluations.
- EMS Instructors:
- Current EMS provider license (EMR, EMT, or Paramedic)
- Minimum of an Associate degree in a related field.
- Experience in EMS education, including classroom and lab instruction.
- Strong understanding of state and national EMS standards.
- Fire Science Instructors:
- Extensive fire service background, preferably with officer-level experience.
- Fire Instructor certification.
- Minimum of an Associate degree in Fire Science or a related field.
- Experience in fire education, training, or leadership roles.
