Special Education/SXI Parapro (Severely Multiply Impaired Program) Grades 5-8
Intermediate/Middle Schools
6.75 hours per day, Monday - Friday
Date Available:
August 2026
Experience working with SXI students preferred. The general expectations of this position are, but not solely limited to:
- Ability to push, pull or drag up to 75 lbs
- Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, squat, reach or stretch
- Perform toileting
- Calm demeanor
- Ability to follow directions
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to restrain a student if necessary
- Good communication with students, some which may be non-verbal, blind or in a wheelchair, parents and staff
- Good attendance consistency essential
- Must meet one of the following requirements:
- At least two years (60 semester hours) at an institution of higher education
- Associate's Degree (or higher)
- Passed Work Keys
