Wayland Union Schools Athletic Administrator

- Bachelor of Science/Arts, from an accredited university, required with Master's Degree preferred
- Must have three (3) years supervisory experience; experience as a coach and/or school administrator preferred, Athletic Administration emphasis desired
- Ability / willingness to meet the State of Michigan School Administrator Certification requirements, preferred
- Training and experience in secondary school athletic activities; knowledge of MHSAA athletic program
- Ability to work as part of the Administrative team focused on the District's interest and goals
- Develop programs for Varsity, JV, Freshman, and Middle School sports activities for Fall, Winter and Spring sports, in consultation with varsity coaches and in accordance with the rules and bylaws of MHSAA and OK Conference
- Secure personnel for athletic contests/activities; scorers, timers, ticket sellers/takers; authorize payment
- Supervise and evaluate coaches after each season
- Provide seasonal coaches meetings to discuss recommendations / suggestions for improving athletic program
- Supervise and evaluate Athletic Secretary
- Develop and monitor the budget for the Athletic Department
- Attend or have a representative at athletic contests to supervise phases of game administration, as necessary and in compliance with OK Conference guidelines.
- Maintain files; teams/individual records; submit participation reports to MHSAA
- Supervise the staff and programming for the Wayland Union Schools Fitness Center and Pool
- All other duties assigned by the High School Principal and Superintendent
Terms of Employment:
Administrative Contract and Benefits Contingent upon passing post-offer background checks
