Director Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director to lead our school's operations, educational programming, and team development. The Director is responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment while supporting children, families, and faculty. This role combines leadership, compliance, curriculum oversight, staff development, family engagement, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Compliance- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, families, and staff.
- Maintain compliance with state licensing, accreditation, and company standards.
- Manage emergency preparedness plans, drills, and crisis response procedures.
- Monitor classroom ratios and staffing requirements.
- Oversee medication administration, staff records, and required training compliance.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and implement necessary updates.
- Support the implementation of curriculum and high-quality classroom experiences.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching and feedback to teachers.
- Review lesson plans, parent communications, and assessment practices.
- Lead onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented culture.
- Build strong relationships with children and families.
- Conduct tours and support enrollment efforts.
- Communicate regularly with families and support retention initiatives.
- Coordinate family-teacher conferences and ensure curriculum is visible and meaningful to families.
- Support enrollment growth and new family onboarding.
- Manage staffing schedules, classroom transitions, and daily operations.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, and retaining exceptional faculty.
- Monitor budgets, supplies, and operational expenses.
- Support marketing efforts, school events, website updates, and social media content.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in early childhood education and staff management.
- Knowledge of state licensing requirements and early childhood best practices.
- Passion for developing teachers, supporting families, and creating exceptional learning experiences for children.
