Master's Degree in Education Administration or related field from an accredited college or university Michigan administrative certification or ability to obtain Valid Michigan teaching certification Minimum of 5 years successful classroom teaching experience (preferred)

Job Description:

Create systems and processes to support a culture of collaboration, understanding, inclusion, and mutual respect. Share the responsibility for developing a safe, orderly, and positive school environment that is conducive to teaching and learning. Utilize a proactive and student-centered approach to discipline that promotes accountability, restorative practices, and positive behavior supports. Engage parents and families in supporting their students' learning and behavior at school and elop and maintain positive, productive relationships with students, families, staff, community partners, and stakeholders.

Communicate effectively with students, staff, families, and community members regarding academic, behavioral, attendance, and school climate concerns. Serve as a visible presence throughout the school and at extracurricular activities, fostering a positive and supportive school culture. Assist in maintaining discipline throughout the student body during school hours, on buses, and at athletic and special events. Communicate regularly with staff to identify and address individual student needs.

Serve as an instructional leader in the building and support the principal in establishing a culture of high expectations for both academics and behavior Serve as a member of the building leadership team and assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of school improvement initiatives. Assist in supervising, coaching, supporting, and evaluating instructional staff in alignment with district evaluation processes and expectations.

Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, and families to ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and district procedures while supporting positive outcomes for all students. Support the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and intervention strategies designed to improve academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes for students. Collaborate with teachers and teams to identify achievement gaps and implement strategies designed to improve outcomes for all student groups.

Coordinate district and statewide assessments to support student learning. Model effective instructional leadership, high expectations for students and staff, and focus on continuous learning. Support Building Leadership Team in the implementation of high-functioning collaborative teams focused on student learning. Model and facilitate the use of multiple forms of student-level data; support and develop the staff's ability to analyze and use this data to drive instructional decisions and to close achievement gaps between subgroups of students based upon data analysis.

Provide clear, ongoing evaluations focused on The Thoughtful Classroom evaluation model.

Salary/Benefits:
Compensation is based on a 200-day administrative contract and commensurate with experience. Start Date August 1, 2026
