Youth Leader

High School & College Success Youth Leader - Flushing High School

You will report to the Director, Student Success Center and work at the Flushing High School Campus.

• Provide peer-to-peer college counseling during lunch, advisory, and/or after school hours.
• Create and deliver workshops around college access (grades 9-12).
• Actively participate in weekly staff meetings after school.
• Attend the Youth Leader Summer Institute and Conferences throughout the year.
• Conduct outreach and recruitment regarding college services, trips, and events.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and data entry to ensure high quality counseling.
• Serve as a constant positive representative of the Student Success Center/College Office.
• Work 10 hours per week.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Working Papers.
• On track to graduate and high academic attendance.
• Motivated, responsible, and hardworking team player that is willing to learn and work well with students and staff.
• Written recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor.
• Committed to attending college.
• Bilingual preferred.

Salary Range: $16.50 an hour
