Qualifications:
- Master's Degree with emphasis in areas of administration
- Meet School Administrator continuing education requirements
- Five (5) years of teaching experience
- Results driven, achievement oriented, strategic planning skills and ability to communicate a vision and goals to others
- Strong problem solving ability
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build successful working relationships with staff, students and families
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to supervise and develop/mentor subordinate staff members
- Ability to function with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and remain organized when frequently interrupted
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Works with principal to identify and coordinate the educational needs of regular and special education programs to ensure maximum educational benefits.
- Assists in the evaluation of staff and instructional programs to ensure student achievement.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with parents and acts as a problem solver when concerns arise.
- Ability to monitor student attendance patterns, coordinates truancy intervention procedures, and collaborates with families and support staff to improve student engagement.
- Addresses behavioral and attendance issues until resolved in a satisfactory manner.
- Develops an atmosphere of trust, respect, interest and enthusiasm within the school.
- Complies with legal and regulatory requirements of various governmental agencies.
- Keeps abreast of new technologies and innovative techniques to ensure school is up to date.
- Supervises extra-curricular activities.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the principal/superintendent.
