Elementary School Teacher

The Teacher supports the Philosophy and Mission Statement of the hiring school and provides a classroom environment and academic program to meet the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical needs of each student.

Responsibilities:

• Be committed and passionate about Catholic education.
• Plans lessons and instructs children as directed by curriculum standards of the school
• Coordinates individual teaching goals and curriculum with those of the department and of the school
• Provides instruction to all levels of student ability
• Utilizes a variety of instructional approaches involving all available resources
• Promotes a positive classroom atmosphere
• Supports administrator and communicates with colleagues and parents in a spiritual and professional manner
• Maintains teaching credentials and professional growth
• Prepares required student records and reports
• Attends all required school meetings events
• Supports and enforces all school policies
• Fulfills all special duty assignments
• Understands and signs the terms and requirements of a formal Archdiocese of Detroit contract
• Models Christian behavior
• Treats all individuals with dignity and respect

• Principal
