Wacousta Elementary 3rd Grade Elementary Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team at Wacousta Elementary as a full-time 3rd Grade Elementary Teacher. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that fosters the academic and social development of students. This position requires a commitment to student success, collaboration with colleagues, and active participation in the school community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, participation, and respect.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and administration to enhance instructional practices and student outcomes.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
  • Manage classroom behavior in a fair and consistent manner, promoting a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Organize and participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities that enrich the educational experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification for elementary education in the state.
  • Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in the use of technology and educational software to enhance learning experiences.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom culture.
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
